Invoices

Invoices MUST be written in ENGLISH and the following must be written at the bottom of every invoice in English “CERTIFIED TO BE A TRUE AND CORRECT INVOICE”. All Proforma invoices must be faxed to the Traffic Manager at Lee’s Fifth Avenue Ltd. along with a packing slip prior to the release of the shipment. The originals must be given to the Freight Forwarder when the goods are delivered for shipping.

Invoices must reflect the true value of the merchandise at all times. Substitution of styles will not be accepted unless the Vendor receives prior authorization from the Buyer. Invoices must indicate type of material item is made of when shipping samples of advertising materials or shopping bags, i.e., paper, wood, metal, plastic, etc. all these must be itemized with a unit cost. The section of the invoice marked “Total” should contain the following information: Sub-Total, Freight, Insurance, Packing and Total.

Packing

Merchandise must be packaged for export with heavy duty materials used to Jute, wrapped and strapped.

Ship/Cancel Date

No merchandise is to be shipped before the set ship date or after the set cancel date, unless authorized by the Buyer or the Traffic Manager. A one percent ( 1%) charge back fee will be taken off the total invoice on any shipment that is shipped after the ship date.

Air Way Bill

The Air Way Bill must always be written in ENGLISH also the description of the merchandise.

Description

The description must include the following:

- Type of material item is made of

- Category –men, women, or children

- Complete description, i.e., “S/S Knit or S/S Woven Blouse” or “S/S Knit or S/S Woven Shirt”

Insurance

Please do not insure our cargo as we provide local insurance for all our merchandise.

Labeling

All merchandise should have the following label sewn in the collar or inseam , or pasted into the products:

- Place of origin, i.e., made in China

- Materials used, i.e., 95% cotton, 5% polyester

- Washing instructions, .i.e.., do not bleach, wash in warm water

- Size, i.e., small, medium or large

Failure to comply will result in the return of the goods

In the event that our terms and conditions are not met and it results in breach of the Customs Act, the fines incurred by Lee’s Fifth avenue will be passed on to the supplier.
